Powerex, the exclusive marketer of BC Hydro’s surplus electricity serving over 230 customers and trading partners - had already invested in enterprise Generative AI by rolling out ChatGPT Enterprise and Microsoft Copilot across the organization. While this created strong momentum for innovation, leadership recognized that tools alone would not drive value. Adoption and confidence varied across teams, and there was a clear need for shared understanding around secure, responsible usage, including managing risks such as data protection, bias, and hallucinations. Powerex also wanted to ensure GenAI translated into real operational efficiencies rather than remaining experimental. To address these needs, Powerex engaged Data Elephant to deliver a structured, enterprise-ready training and enablement program that would accelerate adoption while reinforcing strong governance and practical outcomes.
